Yule Love It Lavender Perennials


Potted and grown in Yule Love It’s Greenhouse, the farm offers eight lavender varieties including English lavenders (Lavandula angustifolia), lavandins (Lavandula x intermedia), and tender lavenders for your garden.  Pot sizes $3.50 to $30. Email for advanced purchase to reserve your lavender order for pick-up at the Festival.  

 

English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia): June bloomers and all summer

  1. Hidcote: deepest purple, medium stem, blooms first year
  2. Munstead: deep purple flowers, blooms first year

Lavandin, hybrid of French and English lavenders: (Lavandula x-intermedia): July bloomers

  1. Fred Boutin: large plant; slender stems with narrow lavender-blue flowers; light foliage
  2. Grosso: large plant; extremely fragrant deep violet flowers; butterfly magnet; blooms July
  3. Hidcote Giant:moderately dense and bushy with truncate-conic, deep violet-blue blooms
  4. Vera:  bushy and large plant with medium to long stems and dark violet blooms

French lavender (Dentata): tender; toothed silver-green leaves; ideal for containers; blooms all summer and fall
Spanish lavender (Stoechas): tender; fast growing; silvery foliage; protruding petals; blooms all summer and fall

 

Fresh Cut & Dried Lavender
There’s nothing more pleasant than a fresh-cut bouquet of lavender to accent a table or countertop. Buy a bouquet for yourself or share as a perfect hostess gift.  Fresh or dried lavender bouquets are $10 a bundle, or $1.50 an ounce. Dried lavender buds in various sachets or by the ounce will also be sold at the Perennial Table.
